Meet Daybrook Fisheries

A Sea of Natural Nutrition from a Sustainable Fishery since 1990

Why Daybrook?

Daybrook utilizes indirect drying technology, which is crucial for producing highly digestible fishmeal. While protein is important, digestibility determines true nutritional value. Our customers rely on this for aquaculture, piglets, and specialty pet food. Our omega-3-rich crude fish oil meets stringent international purity standards, undergoing rigorous testing and extra precautionary processes to ensure quality. This fish oil is mainly used in aquaculture feeds.

Location Matters

Daybrook’s ideal location in the central Gulf of Mexico allows us to have a balanced fish catching and processing capacity. The plant processing capability is integrated with extensive product warehousing and distribution facilities, docking, repair maintenance, and administrative buildings.

The Daybrook Process

Daybrook’s fishmeal is manufactured using a technology that provides gentle drying and ensures the highest standards for digestibility and freshness. Only fresh whole fish are used to make fishmeal & fish oil. The only by-product of our process is water vapor. Immediately upon arrival at our docks, the refrigerated fish are tested for total volatile nitrogen (TVN), as a beginning measure of freshness to optimize our production process. Samples of whole fish are collected from the refrigerated hold of each vessel and analyzed for additional physical and biological characteristics by our own Quality Assurance Laboratory.

Daybrook Fisheries’ strategic location offers access to both the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico and allows Daybrook to efficiently serve markets along both the U.S. East and West Coasts, as well as in Canada, Mexico, and various locations in between.
